Here are some things that make Bedfordshire unique;

1. Luton and the Hat Industry

Luton, the largest town in Bedfordshire, was historically famous for hat-making. The industry dates back to the 17th century, and Luton is still celebrated for this heritage, particularly during the annual Luton International Carnival.

2. Bedford's Cultural Diversity

Bedford, the county town, is known for its cultural diversity. It has one of the highest concentrations of Italian immigrants in the UK, largely due to recruitment in the 1950s for the brick manufacturing industry.

3. Woburn Abbey and Safari Park
