Amy is an experienced Occupational Therapist specialising in paediatric-oriented services for Case Managers & Medicolegal, Private Clients, Individuals & Families, Schools & Colleges, Local Authorities/Statutory Services, Businesses & Charities.
Dedicated to providing the highest level of care to her clients, Amy is passionate about helping individuals achieve their goals and reach their full potential. She has a wealth of experience in mental health, autism, ADHD, developmental trauma and sensory processing disorder and is proficient in the production of clear, thorough reports for parents and schools and Education Health and Care Plans.
Taking a client-centred approach to goal setting, Amy collaborates with her clients and their families to create personalised treatment plans that meet their unique needs. She has a varied toolbox that draws on her experience from working in both mental health and school based settings. Her focus is on increasing independence in activities of daily living, whether this is supporting her clients to advocate for the help they need or to become independent in their own environment.

Amy has successfully managed a team of therapy assistants and trained staff to enhance the care of the young people they work with. She believes that effective communication is key to achieving the best outcomes and works closely with the multi disciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of care possible. Amy is considered an excellent communicator, providing effective liaison with parents, carers, professionals and external agencies. She is also considered a calming presence who can quickly build therapeutic rapport with young people.Â
With a qualification in sensory integration therapy and a keen interest in developmental trauma, Amy is dedicated to providing evidence-based interventions that make a real difference in the lives of her clients. She has experience of assessing the learning environment from a sensory processing perspective. She is able to work with teaching staff to adapt the environment to meet the sensory needs of the young person and has provided comprehensive training in school to develop staff awareness of sensory processing and trauma.
