Beth is committed to staying at the forefront of evidence-based practice. She has recently completed specialist training in Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) for upper limb rehabilitation and additional learning around sensory processing, integrating these cutting-edge approaches into her therapy sessions to maximize outcomes. Her ability to combine traditional OT techniques with innovative interventions demonstrates her dedication to delivering the highest standard of care.
Before specialising in paediatrics, Beth gained valuable experience working with adults in acute hospital settings, assessing home environments to promote safety, prevent falls, and support independence. Her experience with fatigue management, upper limb and cognitive rehabilitation, and environmental adaptations allows her to provide high-quality care across the lifespan, including supporting adults recovering from stroke or brain injury. This dual expertise makes her uniquely adaptable and able to support families holistically when working with children who have complex needs.
Beyond direct clinical practice, Beth is an experienced educator and trainer. She designs and delivers bespoke training sessions for teachers, carers, healthcare staff, and families on topics including manual handling, postural management, basic sensory needs, and safe care practices. These sessions are practical, accessible, and tailored to each audience, ensuring wider systems are equipped to support her clients effectively.
At the heart of Beth's practice is collaboration and empowerment. She believes that occupational therapy is most effective when clients and families are active partners in the rehabilitation process. Her approachable manner, creative problem-solving skills, and person-centred philosophy ensure that each client feels heard, supported, and equipped to achieve their goals. Beth's ethos is simple yet powerful: everyone deserves the opportunity to live as independently and meaningfully as possible—regardless of age or ability.
