As many of her clients present with co-existing diagnosis’ Rhi is experienced in undertaking comprehensive assessments as part of a multi professional, multi agency team, whilst recognising the parent/carers as experts in their child’s care. She is also experienced in implementing compensatory and rehabilitative treatment approaches including prescription of adaptive equipment, complex specialist seating, positive behaviour support plans and sensory diets.
Alongside her private practice work, Rhi is Swansea Project Director for ELI Project, a charitable organisation which seeks to promote the social inclusion of families who have children and young people with additional needs, both in the UK and Kenya. This work has allowed her to glimpse the lived experience of having a child with additional needs to address the isolation and social anxieties these families often face.
Rhi is currently using her OT skills and knowledge in both her local community and in Kenya by consulting on the development of a children’s centre in Nairobi and on environmental adaptations to her local church building and grounds.
