A highly motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist with extensive experience working in specialist neurology services in the UK and the Netherlands. She has worked with cases of acquired and traumatic brain injury for over 10 years, including those with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Inge is a caring, knowledgeable professional with effective communication and strong social skills. With her patient and calm nature, she builds strong relationships with clients, their families and her colleagues. She has a genuine passion for Occupational Therapy and highly values a client centred approach with clear goal setting at the core of her treatments. Together with her clients and families, she is able to think creatively to achieve the goals that are meaningful to her clients.

Inge’s broad experience includes working as a senior Occupational Therapist at The Wellington Neurorehabilitation unit and Hothfield rehabilitation unit for acquired brain injury where she has gained specialisation in functional assessments and treatment of cognitive and behavioural difficulties. She was often called upon to set out treatment plans and behavioural care plans for the multidisciplinary team and enjoyed setting up and leading several cognitive education groups for clients and their families.

Inge has further developed her experience working with clients limited by complex physical, environmental and ADL needs and is confident in advising and training clients, care staff and family on posture and seating, the use of adaptive equipment and manual handling.

To strengthen her practice, Inge has completed extensive accredited training on cognitive assessments and treatment as well as chronic pain, fatigue management and sensory integration difficulties. She has also developed a special interest in meditation, relaxation and mindfulness.
