Stacey has extensive experience working with people with progressive and non-progressive conditions, across the course of the adult lifespan. This includes (but is not limited to) Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, stroke, cerebral palsy, spinal injury and complex musculoskeletal trauma. She uses a range of informal interview, functional observation and standardised assessment to provide Occupational Therapy reports, risk assessments, client-led care plans, training, advice and recommendations for her therapy interventions.

Stacey understands the importance of building a good rapport with clients in order to develop effective therapeutic relationships and truly person-centred goals. She communicates effectively with clients, family, carers and the wider social & professional network to understand motivations and establish achievable goals. This includes those who may have communication disorders, cognitive impairments and/or sensory processing difficulties. She maintains good communication with each member of the MDT and uses her knowledge of those roles to advocate for the client where needed, supporting them to achieve their goals. She has developed good communication links with equipment providers in her local area and can work collaboratively with each company to meet the needs of the client in a timely manner.

Stacey is able to work confidently with clients who require fatigue management, vocational rehabilitation, functional skill-building, or rehabilitation for cognition, upper limb and sensory impairment. Her skills extend to assessment and provision of standard and bespoke equipment, plus minor and major environmental adaptations to support client needs. Stacey has also worked with a wide range of therapy assistants, carers and trainee clinicians to support their professional development during her career; providing training and education on neurological conditions, functional impairment and the role of Occupational Therapy in this field.

Stacey is a friendly, approachable and caring professional. She is passionate about supporting individuals with independence at all stages of their life; whether this be restoring confidence with a daily task, living safely within the community, exploring new interests or resuming productive occupations.
