The OT Centre has helped hundreds of people live more independent and fulfilling lives,  overcoming the challenges associated with a huge spectrum of diagnoses, conditions and injuries through Occupational Therapy. In all this time, we haven't lost sight of our founding principles, recognising that every Client, Customer and Team Member is a person; a loved parent, child or sibling, with hopes, dreams and aspirations.

The OT Centre is an opportunity for OT's to once more do what they trained for, providing specialist high-quality therapy to meet client needs and make a real difference.

What We Love About Monmouthshire

Perhaps we're biased; our founders, Helen and Mark Spencer, have lived in South Wales since 2009 and had family links with Monmouthshire. Setting that aside, Monmouthshire is a place with a rich blend of natural beauty, historical significance, and cultural richness that makes it a delightful destination;

Stunning Landscapes: The county boasts diverse landscapes, including the rolling hills and breathtaking views of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The Wye Valley, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offers opportunities for hiking, biking, and kayaking in picturesque settings.

Historic Towns: Monmouthshire is steeped in history, with towns like Monmouth tracing their heritage back to Roman times. Other historic towns include Abergavenny, Usk, and Chepstow, each with its unique charm and character.

Castles and Ruins: The county is dotted with impressive castles and ruins, like the majestic Raglan Castle and the 12th-century Tintern Abbey. Other notable castles include Caldicot, Abergavenny, and Chepstow, offering glimpses into the area's rich history and heritage.

Culinary Delights: Known for its local produce, Monmouthshire is a haven for food lovers. The county hosts farmers’ markets and food festivals, showcasing award-winning cheeses, artisanal bread, and locally-sourced meats.

Outdoor Activities: For those who love the outdoors, the county offers a range of activities like hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing, horseback riding, falconry, clay pigeon shooting, and archery.

Vibrant Towns: With bustling market towns like Abergavenny, Caldicot, Chepstow, Monmouth, and Usk, there's always something exciting to do, taste, or explore.

Foodie Capital: Monmouthshire is celebrated as the foodie capital of Wales, offering a range of local produce, Michelin-starred restaurants, and food festivals.

Scenic Beauty: The county provides Instagram-worthy views, perfect for those who appreciate picturesque settings.

Endorsement from Vicky

Vicky Caldwell

Occupational Therapist

"As an Associate with The OT Centre I actually get to practice the OT we all dreamed about at University!

The clients are diverse, their goals are diverse and so there is never a dull moment. What I really value is the work life balance, as that has always been a major challenge working elsewhere.

I cannot rate highly enough the passion, knowledge and support each of The OT Centre team can offer, so even though I work in private practice I never really feel alone as there is a network of advice available as and when you need it."

Vicky qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2015, joining The OT Centre as an Occupational Therapist in 2020.
