Lauren's Bio

An experienced and passionate occupational therapist delivering specialist OT services for adults with neurological conditions, multi trauma injuries including spinal injury and amputations. Providing services for Medico-Legal cases, Private Clients and families, Local Authorities, Housing Associations, Businesses and Charities, she has amassed a unique wealth of experience, having worked as an Occupational Therapist in the UK, New Zealand and Australia. She is able to draw upon this experience in problem solving and adapting her working style to find novel solutions for each client's specific needs.

Lauren is skilled in the assessment, treatment and evaluation of adults and older adults with complex neurological needs including significant expertise in spinal cord injury, with a particular interest in wheelchair and seating, 24 hour postural management, and specialist adaptive equipment. 

Lauren is determined to achieve the best outcomes for her clients by taking an holistic client-centred approach to goal setting and therapy.  She has a strong ability to work with clients who have been labelled as ‘challenging’ or ‘difficult 'and her friendly and personable nature ensures that clients and families feel confident working with her. She quickly builds a rapport and applies her skills and knowledge to overcome their challenging circumstances by facilitating collaborative goal setting and implementation of therapy.

Lauren’s clinical experience enables her to manage her cases in a highly professional and proactive manner in order to obtain the best possible outcomes for her clients. Lauren is a very quick learner with a strong clinical skill base and manages her time exceptionally well. 

Having practised internationally across multiple areas of the profession during her career, Lauren has worked in a broad range of settings including in-patient multidisciplinary teams, private and not for profit community therapy teams, and has also worked as a Clinical Lead Specialist for the Department for Work and Pensions.
